I remember the day my dad gave me my first disposable film camera. It was in the mid to late 80's. He told me not to just go around taking a pictures of everything otherwise I would just run out of film. Me, that is exactly what I wanted to do. So, that is precisely what I did. I used the film rather quickly, almost feverishly. But in running out of one thing, I discovered a never ending passion for another. And then several years later high school came, bringing me my first photography class and an introduction to the darkroom. My love for photography grew even more. I loved the enchantment of watching an image surfacing in swirls of the developer. That is something I will always hold on to, the love of what a darkroom creates. Even though it has been years since I have used a film camera. My process is different from those days in high school and college, but the love is not. With digital photography, I get to be that little girl again who wants to take a pictures of everything. Except now, I never run out of film.
Living in Wyoming, I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world focusing on the magic I find in daily life. I have photographed many different subjects, scenes, and moments and have loved them all. My goal, as a photographer, is to show the beauty of the world, with my heart, as I see it.
My pictures tell my stories. I hope that every person that views my photography feels a little bit of what I felt in the instant the image was taken. Through my images, I invite you to bring bits of my stories into your life and home. New prints are released regularly, so check back often.
